This is gorgeous little Willow now just over a year old. Willow arrived here at Charney Rescue in October 2019. She was intended to be going directly to an adopter after 48 hours holding. We knew that Willow was a nervous puppy but the trauma of leaving her siblings at Dorohoi and travelling to the UK really affected her and she was just terrified when she arrived. She was not ready to go straight into a home and it was decided she should stay here until she had a chance to recover.

After a few weeks it was obvious that Willow really feared being close to people and that she would eventually need a home with another dog for confidence and company. Willow is very sweet natured but quite a reserved little dog and would need a very experienced home. She is very happy to be around us here now and loves her walks and playing with the other dogs. We are still working towards getting her used to human contact but she is frightened to be touched and will try to bite if she feels too pressured. We do not believe in forcing our dogs to be handled so Willow will stay as a sanctuary dog where she feels safe for as long as it takes for her to fully trust people.
