Toby first came to Charney Rescue in September 2018. He arrived having tested positive for heartworm and needed 6 months treatment with Ivermectin injections.
He stayed with a lovely foster Mum while he was having his treatment and has now been blood tested and is heartworm negative.
Toby was rescued from Breasta Public Shelter Romania in May 2018.
Toby is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has been neutered. He is approx 3 years old and has received regular worming and flea treatments.
Breed and Temperament
Toby is a medium sized mixed breed and we would expect him to have German Shepherd, Husky and Collie in his breeding. Toby is friendly with both male and female dogs but prefers the company of females. He walks happily on the lead and wears a harness for walks. He can be nervous of meeting new people in particular men and is nervous around small children.
Toby's ideal home
Toby would like to live with another friendly dog preferably female. He cannot be homed with children under 12 years. We do not know if Toby is cat friendly and advise that he would not be suitable to live with small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens etc. Toby loves his walks and is very affectionate. He would love a home where he could go for nice walks and then cuddle up at home.
